I decided to go and sit in the wind this afternoon. I was taking it slow going to a stand I haven't sat in since bow season. It's really thick woods in this area. I wasn't but about 20 yards from my climber and I look up to see massive horns looking at me. Then he trotted off. I went ahead and climbed my tree. Couldn't make my mind up to back out or sit hope I made right decision and mabe he will come by in a little while.

If he saw you, he wont be back for a long while. Maybe another one will come by.

he may come back if he gets on a hot doe and she comes your way,but other than that he is gone.

Ya never know. About 4 years ago I was slipping around a bench checking an area I had shot some good bucks before. I walked right up on a tall 10pt with a bunch of does. No shot. I decided to hunt him when my vacation started in a few days. I packed in a climber and first morning he came grunting off a hill and went through some nasty vines and a again, no shot. Couple days later he came slipping around the bench, dang near ran up my gun barrel. I got on him and saw he was young and not really as big as I had thought. I put my gun down and he trotted off. I saw that buck 3 times in the same spot in about a week.
I shot him the next year one snowy afternoon, not far from where I first saw him.

I think what I may do next is stay out of that spot a few days. Let him get comfortable again. Then slip back in their and sit all day a few times. He will slip up eventually.
