Im not quite ready to sell yet but i just was wondering what it might be worth to someone. I was looking for a prop for my 50 and ran across this motor. the motor and controls are fine, the boat had burned on the front from a house fire. I plan on tuning it up, rebuild the carbs and replacing the water pump then im going to sell it sans proppeller. BTY, it is a 72 year model that is in good condition, under the cowl looks like new, it has great compression on all 3 cylinders. anyone got any idea of what i should ask for it?

7-900 is probably what you could get for it.

wow that much? maybe i wont be dissapointed then if i ask6 or 7 and get 500. i would be happy with that considering what i will have in it when its ready.

how about this one? it is ready to sell but it is an even older 35 evinrude with controls. I would have to look up the number to be exact but i think its a mid to late 60's. i think its called a ski twin 35. the controls on it are double in that you have a lever to engage foward and reverse and another lever to operate the throttle.

Sounds about right on the price for that motor. Got a budy that came into a boat that you could get "right" to put that motor on and sounds like it would make a pretty good rig. Boat is in very good condition (to be older), but the motor on it needs work. Sounds like a match made...

Asking $400...make him an offer. The motor on it runs...but needs work. No trailer though.

Heck, how much would there be in scrap metal in the old motor? There would be some good aluminum weight there wouldn't it?

gman, if your still around, you said the motor ran but neeeded work, what motor is on it?

Also, i found out this weekend that the 65 is toast. no compression on #2 and i pulled the head to investigate. It almost looks like electrolysis has eaten the piston up. Bad grooves in that cylinder too. i will prolly just part it out on ebay and save the things i know i might need like the starter and coils. stuff that is kinda generic for many of these omc engines.
