i couldve sworn i posted on here yesterday but i guess i didnt hit the submit button. i was saying, i guess people in gadsden have too much pride to take a handout and get in the welfare line. They would rather be poor than take government handouts and burden the american taxpayers and for that i applaud them. that is patriotism right there. heck if it wasnt for welfare checks, talladega would be the poorest city on earth.

Sounds like some funny math to me. How does the 5th poorest town in the US have home values increase by 13%, the fifth largest growth in the country? Hmmmmmm. Guess those poor folks spending all their $ on housing.

At one point I worked for the largest medicaid provider in the state. Our East Alabama branches had a LOT of families on govmt assistance from Gadsden and the surrounding area.

I live in Rainbow City (suburb of Gadsden pretty much), and I can tell you this, if we are the 5th poorest city in the country, I would HATE to stand in line at a restaurant in a city where people had money. Our poor city creates 2 hour waits at EVERY dining place worth eating at and I know they aint handing out free food. Every car dealership has, or are in the process of, MAJOR remodels. If they weren't selling new cars, that wouldn't be happening either. MAJOR flaws in that idiotic statistical blunder.
