I was always a big crappie fisherman and just tinkered with bass fishing a little. My 8 year old son has fallen in love with bass fishing though and that's all he wants to do, even though he hasn't caught one yet. I don't have a boat anymore so we've been fishing at a pond close to his grand dads house but the pond is pretty tough fishing. Anybody know of a place I can take him where his success chance is higher than normal. It'd have to be a pond or somewhere we can fish off the bank and preferably close to Shelby County. Thanks.

Bibb County lake was reopened this year. They were catching them pretty good back when it first opened.
