Wow. If a club couldnt harvest 20 or more deer total regardless of the acres I wouldnt waste my time or money on it.

5400 acres
Barbour/Russell county
Around 35-40 does
I think around 25 bucks. Majority were 3 yr olds. Couple studs, and couple mistake/1st deer 1 1/2- 2 1/2 yr olds

Last deer survey which was 5/6 yes ago suggested shooting 75 does

From 14 years ago until 3 years ago, on 667 acres in Russell County, we were harvesting from 30 to 44 deer per season. Buck/doe was roughly equal. We had a couple of old school ole timers that were part of the landscape there and wanted to shoot about anything, so the buck rule was simply no yearlings or knotheads. We still managed to kill 3 or 4 good ones every year. I imagine that we would still be doing that if the owner wasn't hell bent on selling it all off a piece at a time. We let the lease go the year that He sold the land our camp was on.

I joined a club several years back in coosa that had 5000 acres and killed less than 20 deer. I killed 4 of them one guy didnt see a deer all year I saw around 20.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!
