I've only been into deer hunting about the past three years and set cameras up, my grandpa has bout 300 acres total of land an bout 100 which are solid hard woods other is pasture and hay ground, the hay ground connects to the hardwoods which has a creek and jus looks what u call " good" but over the past years ive only seen 1 rack buck, little ole 6 pt and got a 7 on camera ONE time, the rest of my pictures are jus bunch of ole does and button heads, any reason why I don't get pics of any rack bucks? am I setting up in wrong places or what I figure they gotta be some where? thanks y'all, maybe use some suggestions on where to set up cams?

Move them around on the property... Try to find good trails to and from bedding areas or feeding areas..and put them there..

watch that old road bed late in the season . i beat you'll see rubs and scrapes on it . seen it a lots of times where bucks will use trails just off beside well worn trails .

When the time is right find scrapes and put cameras there. I've been in situations like this where I've run cameras all over my property and not had pics of any big bucks. Then when the rut comes around I put my camera on scrapes and i take pics of big mature bucks daily. The big ones are there they are just hard to find.

Don't get discouraged we tend to get disappointed when we don't get good pics..Just because u don't have any don't mean their not there.. They can show up anytime & anyplace..I've got 2 pics of some BIG mature bucks this year, that was caught walking 18yards away from feed & never came to it period!

If your feeding corn with a camera over it, if you got big bucks, you will get them on your cam, at least every 7-10 days. And it shouldnt take long. It will be at night of course most likely.

Dont sweat it, Rut gets here anything can happen! keep at it and broaden your horizons, There are some stud public land bucks out there

Ya know, I bet the dang turkeys have eaten all the fawns, and ran the other deer off. Why don't you ask your grandpa if WE can come over, say March 15th. I bet we can thin some out on a place like that in just a few days!! No, I mean really!

If you've got does you've got bucks ! The proof are the fawns and button bucks. I've got nothing but small bucks and does on camera so far but know ole big daddy is around. Food sources and the girls will get you his picture or him eventually.Good luck ! wink

you need food, water, and cover to hold mature deer on a property, cover being the most important if mature deer does not feel safe he won't stay there.

I would rather be turkey hunting

X2! You should be seeing some scrapes around the logging road shortly. Stick your camera's on them you will get pics. If you can find a good primary scrape you will get pictures of multiple bucks on the same scrape.
