Just wondering why a lot of the people I see on here behind their trophies look like they hate their lives, wives, kids, jobs, hell everything! Cheer up for goodness sake. Some of you look like you're still taking your high school football intimidation photos. If hunting pisses you off quit doing it. Don't get me wrong i've killed a ton of deer but it still excites me everytime. I'm smiling when I'm behind a doe, heck I'm even smiling when im taking someone else's picture. Sorry rant over.

I've never understood the bland-sad faces, either.
Worse is a photo of a happy hunter with a fine buck, especially one off public land and/or the hunter's biggest ever, and some butthead jackwagon says "Should have let it go and it would have been a trophy next year."

I have braces and try not to smile in pics. Yes I'm 33. Oh and never let them go you could be dead next year. Or your buddy could shoot it the next day.

Agree 100%. Same thing on the hunting forum in Florida. Look like they are mad at the world. That's because the multitudes of bears eat all their corn up and tear their feeders up. You better not KILL a bear down here, though. You'll do less time and suffer less stigma by simply killing a human.

The photos dont always tell the whole story. This is true, of course. Having taken thousands of photos of fishermen and hunters over the last 20 years, though, I can't begin to count the number of times I've asked for a smile or some kind of positive facial expression and the reply is, "I don't smile" or "I am" and they look like someone just told 'em their dog had been hit by a car.

I think for some people, unfortunately, hunting is outlet for their anger, displaying their supposed male dominance, out-doing thier buddies, etc. Smiling is just not indicative of how they feel at the moment ... they probably feel just like they do after winning a fist fight or something like that - glad they won, but not a positive feeling.
Not me, if I manage to kill a buck I'm psyched. I don't care if I have a goofy smile on my face!

If I had a pic of me and a deer I'd look as happy as a fat kid in a chocolate factory
I don't want to pass quietly into the night. I want to slide in sideways kickin and screamin Life really is awesome ... Soak it up while you can ...

When you get one, call me and I'll be glad to bring the camera!

If the tongue won't stay in the deer's mouth pull it out as far as you can and cut it off at the teeth. It works. A guide in Texas taught me that trick.
