Got some guys from FL that are leasing the land by my farm. They seem like decent guys just dont know a thing about hunting. The last couple of weeks one has been hunting a stand on the property line and rattling and grunting like crazy. Im talking hours worth. Hes across a swamp and cant see our place but we sure hear him all the time. Sure enough about 6:30 this morning he starts goes on a rattle tangent for a solid 10 min. My son and I started blowing grunt calls like mad. Every time we would blow a call he would respond. It was hilarious......we messed with him off and on until 8:00am. I do believe today was the best day Ive had in the woods this season!

I work with a guy that I know does stuff like that, has no clue about hunting.

That's awesome. I ran into a guy at LBL that did the same thing this year. He blew almost non stop until 10 am.

Haha! We must of ran into the same guy. He had a buddy with him that was sitting on the ground about 40 yds from him, on top of a trail and not brushed in at all.....we called them "grunt tube, and ground blind"

Funniest thing I ever heard was the GW in Barbour county saying he discovered several cans of creamed corn poured out in front of a stand. You guessed it, guy was from FL

Funniest thing I have ever seen is some guy took a deep sea fishing trip and brought plastic worms to use for bottom fishing and you guessed it, he was from Alabama! LOL just messing with ya. What you are dealing with is people who have never hunted in Alabama. That stuff works on the TV but not in real Alabama hunting.

I have a real good friend that is in my Club. Good guy and will hunt hard.

But, he never seems to kill anything. He has killed 1 decent 8pt in 2 yrs on our place. And we have a GOOD place! There is no reason whatsoever that you can't kill a nice 8pt by just sitting quietly with the right wind on a foodplot.

But, he carries a backpack FULL of scent, rattling bag, grunt calls, etc. I have found 'mock-scrapes' around the foodplots and there are always footprints around the fields he hunts. I know that he is putting out scent trails, putting scent in scrapes, grunting and rattling out of the shooting house etc. Trying WAY too hard and spooking the deer while doing it!

And, the thing is, there are a LOT of people JUST like him!

We label those "Tourist", you can see and hear them from a mile away. Bet they are BuckMaster members! lol

Exactly right. I used to try crap like that thinking if i dont see something come running after the first attempt, i would do it even louder.

Guy at work said a guy at his club walked out in the woods to a non-descript spot, dumped a whole bag of corn on the ground, walked 30 yards from it, set up a folding camp chair, a portable TV to watch the game, cracked open a beer and commenced his hunt.

Hog wild, do you guys need anymore members? Sounds like my kind of club! Haha

When dealing with something like that I would be real careful. They might shoot at the noise. Too many folks getting shot this year.
