This time of year a lot of people have a cough/sneeze. Whats some of the tricks if you absolutely have to cough/sneeze in your stand? I usually wear a down parka. I roll it up and cough into it to muffle it.

I just suck it in and fart instead.

I roll up a boggin. I had a spike bedded about 50 yards from me the other afternoon and i had to cough. He looked over that way but never acted alarmed.

I just put my arm/coat sleeve over my mouth to cough. I was sitting in the stand one morning and heard "someone" coming toward my tree that coughed a few times. When they got close enough to see through the thick stuff....it was a big doe. She sounded just like a person coughing.

It is funny to see or even here a deer cough you would swear it was a human.

I had doe bedded in front of me and I coughed real loud, I had been holding it in so long. The doe just looked in my direction but never seemed to alarmed, this doe was 60 yds away.

Muffle it with some of my clothing.. Also I carry a couple of cough drops tucked under the slip on buttstock shell carrier.

I bought one of those "cough tubes" one times. First time I used it the back pressure nearly blew my head off!

Thats interesting. I never heard one but last year I saw a buck traveling a ridge & I grunted to him. He stopped & set in the same place for a very long time. In the time lapse I coughed a few times. I thought he was gone for sure because I couldnt see him but later grunted again & he got up & came straight in & I swung & missed with my bow. I been wondering why the heck he hung around through all my coughing.

Ya'll overthink this deer huntin stuff. Thats why folks get rich off cough mufflers and deer view mirrors. If a deer got spooked at every odd sound he heard in the woods he would dig himself a hole, crawl in it, and never come out.
