Found a stand next to our property line and snapped a few pictures. Even found one of their arrows on our property. The land is leased to a bunch of ya-hoo's from S FL. They are the sorriest excuse for sportsmen Ive ever seen. Probably not against the law to hunt a stand like this but its damn sure unethical.

I made dang sure they wouldn't see anymore deer from that stand

I have a stand approx 20 yds from my neighbors place. I've never shot any deer on there side but have killed several deer from the stand. Has nothing to do with the neighbors land its just a great little area that happens to be near the line. The arrow may indicate a different situation in your case though!

Yes, as someone from FL I agree with whitetailchaser. We aren't all like that. I've heard many stories if locals shooting deer in the off season and poaching but I don't think every Alabama resident does it.

OH NO!!! The florida hunters gets a rap just like us dog runners. A couple people do some outlawing and the whole bunch is terrible. Just come on and join the crowd... laugh

crazy how folks like to label an entire group by the actions of one or a few..by that reasoning all Americans are a bunch of Obama loving Libtards.

I have a stand right on the property line. The neighbor knows I hunt there and they don't mind at all. Its where the deer are. Thats why I hunt it.

It's on there property looks like they have a road or something they are hunting.

Let me ask you this does it matter if they kill the deer 5 yards from the property line or a 100? Deads still dead

I have no problem hunting on the property line. I have a stand in the tree the line fence is nailed to , but I have never killed anything on their property. I do it so I am shooting back onto my property instead of setting up on the other side of the field and shooting in the direction of my neighbors house .

I hunt in Bakerhill and have Florida guys that hunt beside me. Never have any issues with them except they go into the woods about 6:30a.m. and 4:00p.m. and ride their 4 wheeler all the way to the stand.

Do you have proof they are killing deer off your property? If not Ain't nothing wrong with that stand location as Long as the hunter is waiting for the deer to cross into their property before shooting. And as far as the arrow you found maybe the deer carried it that far before falling out after being shot on their property. Sounds to me like you have nothing better to do then nag like a women. My .02....Carry on now.

Why were you hunting so near their property?

They are hunting there because of that old 10' wide road/firebreak. That doesn't look like a good bow set up to me. That looks like a rifle set up. It doesn't look hidden to me at all.

I would bet you $100 on this one: The percent of outlaw FL hunters is significantly lower than the percent of home grown outlaws. It is just like down here and fishing. The out of state folks are much more careful to obey the fish laws than Billy-Bob that throw every snook he catches in his tool box.

But it is easier for folks to blame everyone else for every problem. Welcome to the democrat way of thinking.

I'm a Florida guy hunting a little over 5k acres in Barbour county, and haven't shot a buck in 2 years; not for lack of seeing them, just being selective and letting 3yr old 8-10's have a pass...for the record, I see more local guys shooting dink bucks and basket racks then I do fl hunters whenever I visit the processor.

Some people just don't get it, is it illegal to hunt this close to your neighbors property line no, is it unethical yes. I hunt on this track with TomO and on more than once I've let deer walk just get shot on the other side of the fence, and I am talking about that anything that craps between 2 hoofs. Florida hunters ground check everything.

THOSE Florida hunters ground check everything....doesn't mean ALL do! I don't know any Florida hunters but I know you can't classify ALL by the actions of a FEW!

The reason FL hunters hunt in Alabama is because they killed all the deer in FL. Those guys will shoot anything that moves grin
