I've got to get out and pick up my son. what tire pressure do I need to drop down to to handle all the hills here.

Or is it a no-no to do that...a myth it will help?

You should be fine in yer 4x4 with good rubber regardless of pressure. 4 wheel high. Slow down, leave space, don't make any sudden moves and watch out for the other guy.

Moved here from Kansas, low tire pressure is better, it gives you a bigger footprint. Make sure you have a full tank of gas and weigh down your vehicle as much as possible. Load it with whatever you can find, you want it to be as heavy as a tank. This is only if you absolutely have to get out in it. Be careful!!!

Just heard that several roads are closed between my office and where he is. Trying to get him home. He is out of the house across town working on a school project.

Get off the edge of the road for traction if need be. Going up a hill if its slick I try to get my right side off the edge in the grass and gravel Always worked for me. Just watch out for mailboxes. grin

I'm gonna make a beer run on my mo-ped. Getting to the sto' should not be a problem but should I get 2 12's for balance or just a 24 and center it on the tank?

12 on each side, low in the saddle bags.

We have a dusting of snow. 24 may not be enough, cause we gonna be shut down for a week. Haha

24 won't be near enough. If you're man enough to ride a moped you ought to be loading up with a case on each side.

If your son is in a warm building in the Bham area and he is safe, he needs to stay there.

From what I'm seeing on tv, most of the roads are blocked with traffic. Low tire pressure increases traction, but that won't keep you safe if you can't get thru the blocked traffic.

My granddaughter is stranded at Hueytown Middle School and Hueytown won't let me thru their streets to get to her in my 4x4 vehicles, so she's going to be under the care of the people at her school for now. My daughter and her husband are both stranded at work across town, and I told them to stay put there where they are safe and warm.

Emergency vehicles are having trouble getting to hospitals , and you are putting yourself in danger if you attempt to go thru town right now. Don't do it.

I wouldn't worry about adjusting them in a 4x4. Just lock it in and stay under 45. The thing I worry with the most is the idots on the road.

Most incidences take place at intersections......bump your car/truck into neutral as you approach a stop sign/light. It keeps you from fish-tailing/sliding as much when you stop.

What?!?!!?

That is the dumbest thing you could do, never put the vehicle in neutral, put it in a lower gear and let the engine help you slow down and be very very soft on the brakes.
