Nicest group of guys ever met in my life.Never seen old dudes sitting around campfires drinking wine and eating popcorn till i joined that club.No Outlaws, every one gets along. They have a few rules but the rules are there for a reason.Nice setup they have.Lots of land and plenty of deer.I also lease 700 acres to the south and never had any issues with people tresspassing or poaching. If you can hide from Nick Horne and sneak out without him trailing you or racing you to the sign out board, theres some good deer up there.

I know a guy that hunts there and heard its a good group of guys but no deer! Just what I heard I don't believe that to be the case. Nick Horne referenced above killed a REALLY nice 140 class deer there the year I was in it. Their land wraps around Qualwood plantation which has been owned by the Drummond (Coal Mining) family for a LONG time. The QW property is managed mostly for quail and is lightly deer hunted, and subsequently supplies a lot of good deer for Camp Creek. When I was in it, Elbert Crook (a founding member) had his own lease inside the CC lease. He's since passed away and I'm curious what happened to that. There are plenty of deer, but the plots get over hunted. If you're willing to get in the woods, you can do well there. If I'd owned a camper I would have stayed in the club. I doubt I will ever join another big club, but I wouldn't hesitate to join that one.

Dang. I grew up hunting there 30+ years ago. Killed my first deer there. When we were in it there was a lot of dog hunting. We stopped dog hunting and started seeing and killing a ton more deer. I think we had 50 members(memberships) on 10,000 acres. Very few pine trees. I believe my father may have been president at one time back in the 80's.
