I usually go on Youtube, and listen to how professionals use their mouth calls, and get useful tips. My favorite guy to listen to is Scott Ellis. My opinion is he sounds the most like a hen. Is there someone that may have better tips on getting that front end to my yelp? He sounds the best, but doesn't explain it very well.. HELP!

Scott Ellis sounds better than a real turkey...I've seen some real turkeys sound like chit, and I woulda swore it was a hunter if I was looking at her.

I honestly think his videos are helpful to watch. I think the key things are relating what's the call doing when you change things.

Been helpful for me anyway.

Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.

Shane Simpson has some good videos on the subject too. He goes into a lot of detail on what calls are good for certain people depending on how the trough of air is created by your tongue. I think his last video was his website. I believe it's Callingallturkeys.com. Some really good info on there.

If you have never heard Scott Ellis live, you are doing yourself a disservice. That guy can flat out run a mouth call. He will make you look around for the hens that have got to be in the building when he's calling!!

Same here, I've heard some hens that made me almost get up to go see who was trespassing. They sounded so raspy that I though they must be those chain smoker stay out all night hens!

I have "Mouth Call Magic" by Scott Ellis. It is a very good video that is basically the information put out with his youtube clips but maybe with a bit more explanation. Yekrut is right about stressing the H while maintaining the tongue pressure to get the clear front end.
