Love the look, but I just can't force myself to buy one for deer hunting. I'm just always paranoid it is going to reflect so much light that at some point it will cause me to miss an opportunity.

What's your opinion?

It will be fine!
Even the old Ruger shiny stainless rifles killed deer.

I hunted with one for 10 years and.never had an issue. Also, they have a satin finish, not chrome. They don't reflect anymore light than a blued barrel.

I wrap mine with camp vet wrap helps protect the barrel as well!

I've killed a LOT of deer with stainless rifles and I haven't had one complain yet.

You can always Krylon the barrel and action. Stainless makes it even easier to remove later if you want. Best of both worlds.

I've had no problems or spooked deer with stainless at all.

Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

all i own is stainless deer rifles. none have polished stainless. i think a high gloss blued is much worse.

I prefer to hunt with my stainless ruger hawkeyes. My main rifle stays up at camp all of hunting season, it can get a bit neglected at times, lucky to even get a wipe down. A blued rifle wouldn't fair so well...and it didn't have any issue taking a couple of nice bucks this season.

I have hunted for years with a browning medallion..gloss barrel, scope and stock. The clearcut i hunt the sun rises in my face in the mornings and i have had the same thought bout the gun shining and getting busted.Never seem to have had a problem though.

I concur with everybody else, it's NO issue at all. Of course, I use a full headnet with just eye holes when turkey hunting because I don't want ANY skin showing at all, while by buddy just uses a pull up style that covers the front from eyes down. We're overthinking this stuff. It's a non-glare, matte finish.

If they aren't spooked by your truck window rolling down, I don't think the finish of the firearm matters.
