What's your view? Had trouble with either? I know they both kill a deer obviously, but does either affect arrow flight more than the other or something? Typically mechanicals will fly better. Fixed heads have more surface area hitting the air which can cause them to plan off line. That's why you will hear a lot about broadhead tuning. Most fixed will be tougher but mechanicals give a bigger cut. So its just preference. I like playing around with both kinds. I had ramcats and rage hypodermic in my quiver this past year.

Slick Tricks and the Muzzy 3 blade for me. I tried mechanical and did not always get a pass through. I never have had a muzzy not pass through. I even had a Muzzy remove an opposite shoulder on a doe I shot quartering away.

I shot a doe this year quartering away with the rage extreme and I aimed for the off side shoulder to see how well it penetrated. Complete pass through and buried up 6" in the ground. She went maybe 10yds and was down. I shoot Thunderhead 100s. They fly just like my field points out to 60 yards. They may be good at farther distances, but I haven't tried it yet. Been shooting them for years and they are still working

G5 Striker or Slick Trick for me. I'm equally confident with either. Those things fly AWESOME out of a well tuned bow, penetrate great, and will mess up a deer's world. I've got the worst deer luck on the planet (other than Vernon Tull) and I just can't risk something going wrong with a mechanical.

I know there are a lot of good heads these days, both fixed and expandable. The two that have my interest right now are the NAP spitfire maxx and the QAD Exodus.

I don't have a problem with either, but I'll probably shoot Slick Tricks as long as they make them. X1000

Muzzy man here. I shot one through the face of a 135 pig at 8 yards and it came out behind the shoulder intact. Enough said. Were you aiming at it's azz end??? Couldn't resist ElkHunter! By the way: I'm sending you some business from a fellow who wants to shoot some hogs. I told him to give you a call.

You want a killing machine that will fly, like a field point (yep, I said it) at long ranges, get some Ramcats. THIS^^^^^ (Although, they are too big for compact quivers)
