I can't believe you wouldn't help a fellow hunter out that has not been turkey hunting on that land, that is mighty rude of you!!

Me on the other hand, would have suggested that they start at the camphouse and that the turkeys haven't been gobbling early in the morning and the one's that have gobbled have been about 11 AM so they can sleep in. The one's that have gobbled have been on the neighbor's property because they have corn out for supplemental deer feeding and its has drawn all of the turkeys off the property! Oh yeah, I would wish them happy huntng!!

I've got a select few that I say anything to. I don't have to worry about it much anymore. I still find myself asking dad not to say anything and heck, it's just us. Lol! You ain't done a thing wrong. If you want to be nice, say it different. If not, tell him to get off his ass and go find them. You can hear a turkey for a half mile right now. Shouldn't be to hard.

im sure we all have asked other hunters for a little advise on hunting meaning everyone on this forum has also thay may not admit to it it never hurts to point someone in the right direction none of us who hunt would be hunting if someone had not informed us or showed us how to do it with that being said I hop u all a great turkey season

When we were leaving the property yesterday morning, we saw some gobbler tracks in the road. Janet told me to stop the TAV. She gets off and steps in all of them. Then tells me "I'll just keep walking to make sure I get them all."

there is only a few and i mean a few folks know about where i hunt in the national forest. i will shared things with them and them only. however if i talk to others while down that way i will them them what i have heard and other things but just point move my arm in a sweep and say that way.... but ou will have to be there early if you are going to beat me there.

I used to give information freely for deer or turkey. Just the kind of guy I am.

As time passed I learn how many will try to take over these spots. I'm not the best hunter in the woods but like trying to help people. But in the end most will just take advantage of you. So I learn more and more not to share much information unless your a close friend.

There's about 4 or 5 people that I share info with and none of us live near each other. Same thing with ducks, birds are hid when we go back to the ramp. And if I take someone new and they start blabbing about how many we killed etc. they don't go again. I love it when I run into people on public land. They start talking about how many they heard etc. and are always shocked that I haven't heard nothin

I would have done the same thing you did. Our club last year had three turkey hunters. This year we have EIGHT. The birds gobbled good the first week. I have went 4 times since and hadn't heard a gobble. One area that is the best area on the club had been tagged into 6 times! Needless to say I will be looking for another place next year. That's what telling other people you got turkeys can turn into. You did right.
