Over the years I've noticed you are the go to guy for archery advice. I'm considering putting a new set of vaportrail string and cables on my new bowtech rpm360. (I got them for a good price) The octane strings that I'm removing have speed nocks on them and the vaportrail strings do not. So here's a couple questions. #1 am I making a mistake by doing this? #2 how much speed if any will I lose? #3 do I need to just leave the factory strings on it? #4 do I need the speed nocks?

Vapor Trails are good strings, better than the Octanes. Hard to say how much speed you will lose. Could be anywhere from 5 to 15fps. Plus you might pick up some vibration and noise. Try it without them and see. If I build a set for someone and the original strings had speed nocks, I always install them on the new set.

Not whithin a certain distance of the cams or idler wheel. It actually speeds them up.
