I find it interesting, amazing, humorous, and sometimes frightening at how everyone acts on here. There are members bearing their soul to us sometimes with very personal things. Then members reach out with words and actions that probably mean more to them than we know. I'm sure it must be hard reaching out to "strangers" for help especially when it seems sometimes how we judge each other on here. A man or woman that can stand in front of a crowd and admit that have a problem, admit they're scared, or admit they're lost is a powerful thing. I wish I could do it. The amazing thing that outsiders wouldn't understand is how a group of strangers can give each other hell over dogs, corn, Clorox stumps, fences, rules, laws, trophy size, etc can reach out and hold/help a brother in need. Have you ever stopped and looked at the good things people do for each other on this site? Whether its donating money, time, prayers, or other resources usually all you have to do is ask us. I, like most everyone, have my issues that I wish I could open up about. Ones that I don't even talk to my wife about. Sometimes a strong exterior hides a soft damaged interior. Through my 13 year old daughter I have found myself attending and enjoying church more. Sometimes I look at her and admire the Christian she is, she is so much stronger than I am. I look for ways to deal with my own issues. As strange as it sounds sometimes I have wished I drank more for the "escape" but I cant do it. Sometimes when you pray for your ALDEER brother, say a prayer for the ones on here that you don't know are dealing privately with their own issues. When it comes down to it, its just a deer. Keep your priorities in-line and you will be rewarded.

Yep. Lots of good folks in here.
Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.

Great post LIO. I see men in your situation often. I always urge men to try and step up to help other men and to help mentor as well as be accountability partners with other men. We tend to want to stay to ourselves but that is not how God designed it to be. I am leading a men's conference in September and this is the theme I will be using. A good scripture is Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 that show there is strength in numbers. Find someone you can trust and talk with. If you need to talk feel free to contact me anytime. I'd rather stay up all night talking without sleep than know another brother is struggling alone with an issue.

LIO, thank you for your post. It took more courage to write it than you give yourself credit for. I'm praying for you. I have a 14 year old daughter who sounds very much like yours.
I spent 39 years of my life looking for something that would give me a calm mind, peace and comfort. I looked in all the wrong places until I finally accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I now have THAT peace. Peace that surpasses all understanding.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

It takes a way bigger man that we think we are to stand up and admit to ourselves more that it takes to stand up and admit to others the demons that we deal with. When you admit to yourself that the problem lies within you need someone to help take control. That is also when your faith and spirituality will be tested to its' fullest. It is hard to hand over control of your life when you have no control over it to begin with.
Nahum 1:7
King James Version (KJV)
7 The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
Hunt'em hard when they are hard to hunt but never, ever hardly hunt!
