I tried to go to work tonight but after two hours I had to leave and go to the er. Xray and bloody urine confirmed a kidney stone.Doc says a beer can help flush it out. So if one is good then 12 will be better.

When I had mine, I spoke with the doc at length about how NOT to have any more. 2 points he brought up...(1) there are several compounds in lemons that help prevent them from forming, and (2) milk is for babies and should be left for them!
Obviously, drinking lots of fluids to keep kidneys flushed is a good thing, and it wasn't difficult to incorporate lemons into that. I usually drink water at restaurants, so I just add lemon to it, and I sometimes buy lemonade instead of soda. The urologist that told me about milk said that despite what the (paid for) commercials say, milk only does a baby's body good! We all get plenty of dairy in cheese and other foods, so I don't drink it at all anymore.
