Who runs what in their daily driver? I've always been a straight gas man in everything I own but beginning to wonder. I know I get a little better mileage on the straight stuff but at over ten bucks a tank difference I don't know if it's worth it.

I run Chevron 90% of the time......other than that I don't look for nonethanol unless I'm putting gas in the boat..... Haven't had any problems in any of my vehicles so far....

Not worth it. But then again I am one of those that dont even put "non ethanol" in boats that have sat each winter for the last 10 years. Never had a problem in any small engine I own or take care of at work. Unless it's sat for a year or more which any gas will break down in that time frame it don't matter. Let the hating begin...

The benefit of ethanol is that it's cheaper to produce than petrol and it helps remove water from the tank and fuel system. All tanks are subject to condensation which can introduce water into your fuel system. Since ethanol readily bonds to water molecules, it will help rid your system of water. Ethanol also burns very clean. If you've ever lit a puddle of rubbing alcohol on fire, you'll notice it burns very clean with little or no smoke or fumes.
The bad side of ethanol is that since it readily pulls moisture from the tank, it also does the same thing to all the gaskets and seals in your engine. Automobile engines have gaskets and seals that are much larger than those found in small engines.
For this reason, I try to limit the amount of ethanol gas I run in my ATV and power equipment but I don't hesitate to use it in my truck.

There is not any difference in any brand of gas. My FIL drove a truck delivering gas before he died. Got his gas truck filled here in Cullman and delivered the same gas to all major brand gas stations. I don't even consider the name on the sign because it is all the same.
I do burn the non - ethanol in my boat and small engines though.

Non ethanol goes in the 4 wheeler and lawn equipment but just regular 87 octane gas in the vehicles.

I don't have easy access to non ethonal gas so I use it in everything. All my small engine equipment I always use a touch of the stabil ethonal treatment with every tank and haven't had any problems. Knock on wood....

I know I get a little better mileage on the straight stuff but at over ten bucks a tank difference I don't know if it's worth it. I run nothing but the real stuff in my boat, mower, weedeater and in my truck (as much as possible). I get an average of about 2 miles/gal more with the real stuff compared to ethanol. Corn is for eating and whiskey, not gasoline!!!

For my lawn and other power equipment I buy the non-ethanol gas. I use Seafoam in that gas as well, as some of it tends to sit for a while. Seafoam is like a mechanic in a bottle! One of the main ingredients of Seafoam is alcohol...the very thing you're trying to treat against. We're lucky here. We have a station that sells only non-ethanol, and it's only $.10/gallon more than the ethanol stations for each grade. Makes good sense to buy the non-ethanol. Nothing I own other than the wife's vehicle when we go on long trips and have no choice has ever seen ethanol gasoline.

I run ethanol. I've checked my mpg with it and with straight gas and can not tell enough difference to justify the cost difference.

I make a ton of money off of ethanol and it's harmful effects . . . . . . . . I do run my boat on straight Methanol though. Your Pro Mod ain't exactly a fishin' rig though. These 4 stroke boat guys can talk all they want to about running ethanol gasoline with no ill effects, it's a different animal. But when you're talking about a 2 stroke blowing that crap fuel across your crank and bearings, it's not a matter of if...it's when.
