My uncle was bush hogging and this black fox was running around the tractor chasing mice. I have never seen one and he said it was his first.

To me, without anything for scale in order to judge size, I would say that is a coyote. The snout is too long for a fox, but is more what you see on a coyote. I base this on watching foxes play and catch bugs for an extended period of time once a week at my part-time job with FEMA.

It run and played around the tractor the whole time he was bush hogging. I didnt think a coyote would do that?

I've seen yotes follow tractors picking up the dead rats after bush hogging many times.

He might bite you if you tried to mount him.

I'd call it a black coyote until I had proof otherwise!
