What website can I use to get information about hunting bankhead?I need to know where to print a map, when can you hunt zone A/B and what is needed besides a hunting license and management permit. Sorry for the ignorance but I'm new to alabama and hunting public land is new to me. Also is bankhead the same as black warrior management area.

Go to www.outdooralabama.com, "hunting", "where to hunt", "public lands", and click on Wildlife Management Areas. There you can open each WMA map/permit and read the individual regs. Open the Black Warrior link. You need a hunting license, WMA license, and the area map/permit. You can print the map/permit (front and back MUST be together), or you can read the locations at the top of the permit (first paragraph) of businesses to pick one up. Also, we have them at the headquarters. On days of ZONE B gun hunts you also need an additional daily permit that you have to pick up from 3-5 pm the day before the hunt, or from 5 am until the day of the hunt.

USFS land in the Bankhead District is open permit. All you need is a hunting license.
