My boys had buck fever during the youth hunt. Elis teacher actually told him if he kills something to send her pictures of it which we did. I actually had lunch with him at school yesterday and his teacher asked me how deer season was going and let me know friday they will be watching movies since its a half day so we will be in a ladder stand at daybreak!
The secret to a long marriage is to keep on dating, just as you did before marriage. We have "date night" once a week.
Hers is Saturday, mine is Thursday.
The only time a married woman gives those is if your not married to them!

We have been lucky so far with his teachers. I hope our luck continues next year. Eli always has good grades and I think all the life lessons kids can learn in the outdoors are as important as any school work. Plus they are only kids once!

I fail miserably at this parenting thing a lot, but I hope at least sometimes I'm getting it right.  I just want him to look back one day and have so many good memories that his brain almost can't hold them all.
