Ok..so here comes the birds and bees question. I was reading Matt Brock's thread about the doe he killed, and noticed several comments about checking if she had been bred.

What exactly would you find if she had been?

If its recent, 24hrs or less, the hair over her hips will be fuzzed up, look for swelling from being in heat or evidence of copulation (fluid, blood, gaping, tearing...its a mildly violent encounter) If its more than 24hrs I don't think there will be any visible external signs.

I've seen some where it was red, swollen, and looked like it was a roast beef samich. But on a serious note I would like to know if there is a scientific way to know visibly or during the cleaning.
