Buy Browning X-Cellerator slings. They are on my rifles and turkey gun.
I never take my sling off my weapons.

I never take my sling off my weapons. just looked them up, not really sure what advantage they offer? I remove them, because a sling is just one more thing to get in the way, or bump against something.

If it bumps, then your rifle is gonna bump, too.

There are a few things I do religiously. One is always walk in or out with my scope on the lowest power. I always take my quiver off my bow in the stand. I also, take the sling off my gun, if I'm hunting off the ground or a shooting house.
How many of you do these things? If not, what are your reasons? I do all these same things also.. I rarely even have a sling on my guns..

I never take my sling off of my shotgun or rifle, when shooting freehand with my rifle I put the sling behind my left elbow(I shoot right hand) and it helps me to hold steady I do this as well if I'm shooting freehand. But if I have a rest of any sort, I take it off. I actually carry my rifle upside down, with my arm wrapped through it. I can sling my gun up, and have a pretty solid brace. I know people who never take their scope off max power. Never made any sense to me. Takes a heck of a lot longer to aquire a target on 9x.

Not too sure what kind of slings you guys are using that they get in the way or bump anything but I always have mine on. Scope is always on 3 unless it is a fixed 4, I do take the quiver off of my Bow though, mainly because I don't want to knock any arras out by hitting them on the stand, tree or brush if I have to twist for a shot. Gun is also unloaded before any climbing is done....that has bit me more than once though, forgetting to chamber a round after making the climb.
Hunt'em hard when they are hard to hunt but never, ever hardly hunt!

scope always on lowest, or low, setting.
slings never come off on deer rifles.
Funny, I usually take the sling off my turkey gun when I set up on a gobbler.

Before I say this, understand that I use them some, same as all of y'all.
But I bet a damn sling on a shotgun or rifle is the number one life-saving device of both deer and turkeys in the world. If it ain't in your hand, it is hard to get it deployed quickly.

Scope is always on lowest setting. I made the mistake of not checking this one day and well, missed a chance at a nice deer.

I always make sure the gun doesn't have one chambered, unless I am in the stand - I don't even walk to or from the stand with one chambered. I take the sling off when I get into my seat. I adjust my shooting stick to the proper height and make a sweep with my gun in the direction that I BELIEVE the deer will come to make sure I don't have to so something peculiar with the position of the shooting stick or my body - then I chamber a round.
The problem is - I have forgotten to chamber a round and have clicked on deer a few times.
