Anybody thoughts on the late hunt at Barbour this year that will run fron the 29- Feb.5. I'm thinking of pulling the camper down and trying. I've hunted the middle of the month hunts in years past and seen pre rut activity. Do you think it will be completely over or wide open. Send pm if you don't want to share on here.

Was going to make the same post. I am thinking about going on this hunt, been about 15 years since I have been down there. Will be following for any additional info anyone can provide. How does the camping work down there. What is the closest motel if someone wanted to go that route? Sorry Ridgestalker to trying to hijack post.

Abercrombies has 10 cabins that run $75 a night for up to 4 guys. Their restaurant is only open Fridays and Saturdays but is REALLY good. And the waitresses are all attractive young ladies, especially the owners' daughter, who is a stunner. I'll be there next weekend.

Their use to be a gas station that had a restaurant/bar in the back that would shuck fresh oyesters etc. The last time I was down there the year before last I broke the ring gear pulling into the campground on day one and spent the hunt trying to figure out how to get back home. I think I've been down there about 6 times over the years and had a chance at one big deer. It blows my mind the amount of tracks in the roads on that place compared to Skyline. With most of the state being closed I'm wondering what kind of numbers will be down there for the Feb hunt.
