I've been shooting a Rem 700 in 270 since 1979. Tried various brands of ammo over the years but settled on 130 grain Federal Premium Sierra Game Kings with the boat tail bullet.

I think you will be happy with any of the bullets previously mentioned.

Yep! I guess I need to slow down on the skim reading. The important part for me was "Fusion" rather than 140 grain.

Federal Sierra Game Kings work very well for me also.

I have been shooting Winchester XP3 in 150 grain but it looks like they quit making those so may be changing soon.

Just got some reloading equip and hope to start reloading some barnes ttsx bullets

As previously suggested I recommend Federal Premium 130gr Sierra GameKing BTSP (MPN: P270D).

I have been using Federal Premium 130gr SGK BTSP for 25 years and have never lost a deer to this load. I have had at least half drop in their tracks and I can only recall one deer that ran more than 75 yards.

As mentioned the most important step is to find what ammo your rifle shoots well. I purchased 3 boxes of Remington's Premier Swift Scirocco for a 308 a few years ago as I wanted a polymer tipped load but after spending over $80 I found with only 10 rounds that the rifle did not shoot them well.

I have heard good things about Remington CoreLokt from a lot of folks who have been shooting much longer than myself and plan on trying these out for a new 308 range/field rifle. The price point is perfect for a good performing load.

do you reload or you just trying to find out the most popular factory loads?
130 grain bullets are fairly popular with the 270 in factory stuff, as well as others listed above.

I don't reload . I am looking for a good factory load on .270. I haven't owned one in 10 years and so many bullet types have came out since then. I shot power points in mine when I was 16 but have no idea about any of the fusions or any of the newer stuff

Swink, the federal Fusion in 130 gr is a good factory load. Also, my personal choice, the Federal Premium in 130gr Nosler Partition.

I've always tried to use 130 grain bullets in my 270 but I think 140s would work too.
