Last few times out i've not been seeing very many squirrels at all. The last trip i only saw one, it was right at dusk and i think he must have come out of the den tree cause he was on it when i saw him and went right back in before i could nab him. Any tips for getting squirrels out of a known den tree, or hunting denned up squirrels in general?

If you want to see squirrels, climb in a tree with a .308. Works for me.

yeah i think there may be something to this. Seems to me they are watchful of what is going on on the ground this time of year. Maybe i should find an elevated spot to sit and watch

I am planning on going this weekend on our land to Squirrel for the first time this season. I am skeptic, since Dec I have not see a single squirrel during my morning or mid day Deer hunt. Thinking late afternoon might be best option.
