Anyone carrying a kid hunting this year?

My nine year old will be in a blind with me with his little 20ga ready to roll that Sat morning at daylight.

I am. My 9 year old will be going after his first bird.

i buddy of mine has 2 step sons that want to go so i may be taking one of them

I will be taking my youngest (9) on the youth hunt. I am excited for him.

Baker is fired up and ready, hope it works out for him! He hasn't killed one yet, only been twice.

When is youth weekend ? Shoot whats the beginning and end dates for Turkey season. Gonna try to do some of that this year, never have.

Supposed to take a friend's 10 year old son. Should be a fun morning!

I plan on being out there filming one of the kids from church.

I'll be somewhere with my 8 yr. old daughter, she's counting the days. Just got to get one tied to a tree between now and then.

I think I got one lined up. Im gonna try to start listening to find him a prospect.

I'll be out there with a nephew each morning. and they want to use my gun.. Can't wait to hear one get rattled.

I'm planning on hunting, but I can't find a kid that wants to just go and watch me hunt yet.

Taking my 9yr old son & 12yr daughter both youth days and probably during the week since they are out of school & I am on vacation.

I thought you had one that was still nursing or something. I figured you wouldn't consider that too young!

I took Outback with me last year on the youth hunt and actually got checked by the game warden. He never questioned I had a youth with me, other than how a 10 yr old grew a beard that thick.

Well, if the Primos guy can take his newly turned 4 year old on a turkey hunt, why not a 10 month old? I'm down with it. Or better yet, why not just take a pregnant woman and claim we're doing a youth hunt with child in utero??

Ain't sure if she is pregnant, but I can expose her right before the hunt and call it good.

The last WMA youth hunt that me and Olcountry went on, I've never seen so many 4-5-6 year olds shooting SBE's?? We saw kids DRAGGING magnum shotguns out of the woods. Damn outlaws won't pass up a good opportunity.....

I know exactly what you are saying and why the kids were hauling daddy's gun, but on another note the couple times I have taken my son I let him carry my 12 ga because I couldn't get his 20ga single shot to pattern worth a crap. He has his own deer rifle but I'm not buying him a dedicated turkey gun till he shows he really wants to turkey hunt.

Heck, I took a stroller that was tricked out with some mud grips and had my little man totin' a youth model Mossberg 10 gauge pump at 6 months old. Yeah, he cried when he shot it, but I like to think it was a character building moment.
