I don't post much on this site and am getting to where I don't spend as much time here or post even less here because of all of the religious zealots spouting off their garbage in nearly every topic. It's their way or the highway, yak, yak, yak, while I sit here silently browsing through the topics, keeping my thoughts and words to myself while you exercise your free speech rights about your beliefs that I could care less about.
So, I suggest a "Religion" forum for all of you people of faith to go a talk, talk, talk. Then maybe some of these other folks on here, I don't remember how many members there are, will be able to have a discussion about something, anything without having the topic hijacked or steered toward religion.
If you want to practice one of the many religions and feel compelled to talk about it, do it in the "Religion" forum! Us other folks don't wanna hear that crap! Sure, you say: well then why don't you just leave if you don't like it. OK, I may just do that, but why should I have to leave instead of you? I like deer hunting, socializing, and being on the internet also, but I don't run my mouth trying to prove myself as a 'good' person or tell everyone how I think their supposed to act and live..........

Life is not compartmentalized in reality, even though we often try to keep things separate. So it is only natural for discussions to sometimes have elements of faith or comments regarding God, Christ or religion.
Many moral, social, economic, political, academic, historical, family, children and LIFE topics have, to some degree, spiritual or faith based elements that are legitimate and relevant. Why not have a full discourse?

Which zealots should be the Moderators in charge of handling complaints about the differing thoughts? When a New Earth zealot gets fired up and an Old Timer zealot takes umbrage, who's the referee? BTW, a Religion Forum has been suggested before. As have others. Don't leave. Just ignore and move along if you don't want to read them. And God bless you.

Here's a thought. If you see a religious titled thread, don't click on it. You don't have to read everything on the website. That is your freedom, as well as mine.
I don't think I'm better than anyone, and I don't boast about things that I do, that I consider to be right and moral. I also don't complain when I read posts that do not agree with my beliefs. I simply ignore them. Why is it that you feel you have more freedom from religion than I have freedom of religion?

I somewhat agree with the op, I'm glad you have a relationship with god but I don't need scripture shoved down my throat on every thread. Same thing as with 49er and I know what happened to him......
With that said I just don't open threads that have something to do with it.
