Funny how some have a problem with the religious stuff said and mention it yet the religious folks don't complain about the sexual innuendo's and such... OR I missed that part.
They do complain but they do it by Notifying Moderators of a Post. We got one a few months back because a guy said "my hairy butt" in a post. Those words exactly. Pretty silly in my opinion.

I actually sent a text today to another member on this forum about this very thread. It was in jest and more or less a joke but it was in reference to a post about snake handlers and speaking in tongues.
I'm like Bill and maybe we shouldn't take ourselves so serious when it comes to someone who doesn't have the same religious beliefs as you or me. I guess this is why i hardly ever commit in those threads because I am no bible expert and I feel like my thoughts and beliefs our my business.
I'll never understand why people handle snakes or speak in tongues but if that's your thing go on and knock yourself out! Don't mean I have to read a thread about it. I'm on this site for entertainment purposes and choose which thread to read just like as some others have compared to a tv channel. Understood now 10-4

But please don't ask for a prayer and then call someone a nonswimmer, It's beyond stupid. They don't (and won't) get it. I do get it and it bothers me also. "Bothers" isn't the correct word, but it's the best I could come up with.

I don't post much on this site and am getting to where I don't spend as much time here or post even less here because of all of the religious zealots spouting off their garbage in nearly every topic. It's their way or the highway, yak, yak, yak, while I sit here silently browsing through the topics, keeping my thoughts and words to myself while you exercise your free speech rights about your beliefs that I could care less about.
So, I suggest a "Religion" forum for all of you people of faith to go a talk, talk, talk. Then maybe some of these other folks on here, I don't remember how many members there are, will be able to have a discussion about something, anything without having the topic hijacked or steered toward religion.
If you want to practice one of the many religions and feel compelled to talk about it, do it in the "Religion" forum! Us other folks don't wanna hear that crap! Sure, you say: well then why don't you just leave if you don't like it. OK, I may just do that, but why should I have to leave instead of you? I like deer hunting, socializing, and being on the internet also, but I don't run my mouth trying to prove myself as a 'good' person or tell everyone how I think their supposed to act and live..........
Carry On......... funny , religion don't bother me a bit . i don't remember any one here telling i had to be religious . never bother me a bit when a few said they would pray for me . if you don't believe how/why does it bother you ???

Life is not compartmentalized in reality, even though we often try to keep things separate. So it is only natural for discussions to sometimes have elements of faith or comments regarding God, Christ or religion.
Many moral, social, economic, political, academic, historical, family, children and LIFE topics have, to some degree, spiritual or faith based elements that are legitimate and relevant. Why not have a full discourse?
Aldeer doesn't need sanitizing. Just tmy 2 cents. straycat if you live it , you gonna talk about it . man of god gonna talk about god . a mechanic gonna talk about fixing cars . ect.

Some great posts in this thread. Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the light and no one comes to the father except through me. If Christians believe that then we are interacting with people every day on this forum and everywhere else that are going to spend an eternity in torment. I completely understand that this is offensive. The gospel is offensive to those who don't believe it. So, of course the bible comes up in this forum. Could we use a little more tact sometimes and a little more love...absolutetly.

We have plenty of bigots, a few flat out racists. And I have seen them ask for prayers too.
They don't deserve them? The general forum has become about the flow. The first 2 or 3 responses typically dictate how the other 4 or 100 will go. Most of the time now it almost always disappears down a rabbit hole but you can see it as it happens and ignore those threads that you know are going in a certain direction. To me this place is still like the fire pit at a big hunting camp. There are nights when you just pack your shucks and go back to the trailer but you still go back the next night to see what the other members are arguing about.
One day the right woman will come along and the next thing you know you'll be wearing her underwear!

The guy went on a thread with the word "god" in the title and gave the ole geez mess. What's he expect with that title... Then he wants a new forum for religious remarks. Didn't really prove anything with my post, just said what I think he's doing. If we go his route we need a nudy section, political section, gay/lesbian section, and a race don't matter section.
