A buddy of mine that has 4 girls and I were talking about this subject awhile back. Mine only daughter is 12 and he told me that she is going to have sex with a boy at some point, she is going to let him have sex with her, and she is going to like it and there is nothing that I can do to stop it.

If you and your wife send her out at 15 you need to buy her some condoms and put her on the pill. She will have sex.

I have a 15 year old daughter. She does not date unless it is under 100% supervision. I said 100%!! No going to my room to study business, or going with another couple. We use to have sex in the front seat while the other couple did it in the back.

I have successfully raised a daughter that is now 24 and engaged. I have another at home that is 15 and another that is 10. My job as a parent is to not allow them to be in a situation where they have to make adult decisions without adult brains!!!! Read that last sentence again.

Either you say no or at least be man enough to keep her from getting pregnant at 15 or 16. No two ways about it. Either condoms and the pill or don't let her out unsupervised.Tell that to the wife!

I have successfully raised a 32 year old daughter who had a career, bought a house and got married before having a baby. I winced everytime one of her friends would turn up preggo at 16, 17 and 18..etc
It is a hard road and they will tell how bad they hate you but my job was to not allow them to be in that situation if I could.
I was also fully involved in her life and spent way more time with her than most get to with their daughters by virtue of me coaching her in softball which kept us together for 8 months out of the year...and the other 4 months she helped when I coached football and she went hunting with me.

I currently have a 16 year old(will be 17 in Oct she informed me last night) because that is the age I told her that she could go unchaperoned on a movie or skating date.
I allowed her to go to her Prom with her boyfriend who, by the way is a fine upstanding christian young man, and he had her home on time and her makeup was not perfect but not all smudged either.(little trick between us dads only, no make up or perfect make up means something happened to the make up she put on at home)

Unfortunately she lives with her Mom in another town and two countys over so I do not get that quantity time with her. Mom is somewhat lenient with her and boys because she says I am not a girl so I could never understand! I reminded her that I WAS a boy so I understand perfectly!!

I need to add that not allowing them to date unsupervised does not mean not allowing them to date. What it means is that you or your wife will have to make extra effort to take her on dates with young men. Just make sure they are 100% supervised. What you will be doing is teaching her how to act around men and what to watch out for in men. You are teaching her that there are differences between one boy and another and teaching her why they are different.

You want her to get to know the differences in boys even younger than 15. I allow mine to go to movies and dinner "supervised" as early as age 10. What I don't want is for them to be so sheltered that they fall head over heals over the first geek that takes notice of them.

I have a 18 yr old....and let me tell you she is hard headed as bull. She and I have had a hard time. Finally I realized I needed to pick my battles. Be ready and be prepared for heart-break...and hope they don't have sex.

There ain't no hoping to it. Hope has made a lot of pregnant teens. I feel for you my friend but do what you need to do to protect your daughter. If you can't stop her, at least equip her to be as protected as possible.

One more thing....tuff love didn't work for me. I just hope my son who is much younger is easier, so far its been good...But if he was like me...it want will be hell.

Some of you need to lighten up the world needs whores. I'm sure the majority of y'all all had a girl you'd go visit from time to time.
