o broke my pinky finger wednesday. I was behind the boat wakesurfing without a rope and my buddy pitched me the rope as i was loosing the wave and it somehow got wrapped around the pinky. Didn't hurt to bad then but by Thursday morning i could feel my heartbeat in it.

About a year or so after I got married my wife and I stopped at the gas station to fill her car up with gas. As I got out to put gas in her car there was a good looking blonde with really short shorts bent over putting the nozzle in her gas tank at the next pump. As I was closing the car door preoccupied with looking at what was at the other pump I closed my finger in the car door. It mashed it flat and pulled the nail off. I opened the car door and got my finger out, started the pump to pumping gas then got back in the car to wait for the tank to fill up. My loving wife had the nerve to ask "Was it worth it." I told her "It was worth every damn bit of it."

Only other thing I have to add is that if you're "smashin'" I think it's fangers not fingers.

had this exact scenario happen right in front of the front door to my wife's work years ago. the receptionist, a fine upstanding tender eared Christian woman, said she could hear the profanities through the bullet proof glass! lol.

still wasnt as bad as attempting to bunt playing park ball and getting my bird finger caught between an aluminum bat and an inside fastball. got all the way to first base before the throbbing hit me. first base coach saw it & passed out before I even knew. sucker split like a peeled banana, four flaps of meat with the crushed bone sticking right out the middle. first base line looked like a murder scene.

Back when I was a teenager, we were planting soybeans next to my house. I was pulling and old set of drag harrows. The kind that hooked to the big pipe. We had alot of moisture in the dirt and harrows would ball up. I got off the tractor to free them of the dirt. I pulled as hard as I could and they came loose. When they did my right thump cushioned the harrows as they slammed into the big pipe. I remember looking at my thumb and the next thing I remember is walkin in to our house. I walked Bout 200 yds to the house and don't remember it. Couple months later my nail was comin off and was only on y what I thought was a small piece where it starts on the thumb. One day it was rainin and I was in the shop and I was flipping my nail over and back on to my thumb. I said it was comin off today. I grabbed it and gave it a quik pull. Well apperantly the thumb nail is connected to something in your elbow because when I pulled it off, the pain I felt when I smashed it was nothing compared to the pain I felt that day. Cried like a big ole baby. Nail never grew back rite after that.

My cousin in law had his finger sheared off by 2" square tubing. He was riding on top of a sub-soiler, bad idea. The nub was to mangled for the doctors to re-attatch

A good friend of mine owns a fabrication shop and his nephew that works for him got this thumb stuck in an 20 inch disc sander

You got that right! Smashed my thumb a few years ago real bad, bout 2 seconds after when the pain registered, I pissed my pants... Luckily I had peed bout 10 minutes before and it wasn't a lot.. But did have to change drawers...

The worst one I've done. Cutting some Dowell rods in my dads shop I hit a knot with the chop saw it was like a stick of dynamite went off. Rod busted my thumb open from the tip to my palm. Dad thought I had cut my thumb off. A few days later my dad had been pic kin on me about the whole thing. He run his finger through a table saw. 1/8 gap in his finger nail you could see through and cut to the knuckle.
