Doesn't matter how they respond or why they did it. They screwed up bigtime. Might as well have affiliated with PETA in some way.
The post on that link says this: "We lost a member of the Muck Team at our fundraiser for The Humane Society of the United States. Where's Les?! #BehindtheScenes; #Camo; #MuckBoots; #GivingBack; #HumaneSociety"
They're joshing around that their employee, "Les," disappeared behind the camouflaged boots at "our fundraiser."
So, Muck was hosting a fundraiser for the HSUS according to the company's FB post. Also added the hashtags "GivingBack" and "HumaneSociety"
They're goners in the hunting world. No way Muck can apologize enough or rebound from what's about to happen to them.

I may be reading it incorrectly, but looks like they donated in memory of an employee that passed away. I believe they are saying that they lost her (hiding behind the boots in the pic) at the fundraiser. Hence the Where's Les statement. Jeremy

Muck has a line of women's and non-hunting boots with colors, flowers, patterns, etc., that they market to the horsey, 'upscale' community that has nothing or incredibly little if anything to do related to hunting. And they have the hunting line.
But to think they could support HSUS with one and it not affect the other is so ridiculously stupid it defies logic. But they likely have management or PR people with no clue whatsoever about the potential ramifications of such FB posts and support of HSUS.
They'll find out soon.

They'll find out soon. I haven't done a lot of research on this yet but if they cater to horsey people, horses live on farms and it appears that hsus opposes farming and ranching too from the comments I see posted.

In my opinion, the LaCrosse Aerohead is a much better boot than the Mucks anyway. I've turned several people on to them since buying a pair and everyone else's opinion seems to be the same. I hope everyone buys the LaCrosse, or something other than Muck, now.
