X2...i would not buy a house that cost more than double my income.....actually prefer less as long as you can find a place you feel safe and don't have neighbors with pitbulls or teenagers with loud stereos. And I would NEVER move out of my house until the house was closed on. I know two people that bought houses and moved out with the expectations of a closing on their previous home only to have it fall apart. Both people still have 2 houses and can't get either one sold without taking a big hit.

Thanks guys. The bank has us at a higher budget than we want. We figured our budget at what we can afford off one income incase something happened. And if it all goes through good we may have found a place.
