Does anyone have experience with time lapse game cams?

My current cams do not have this feature. I'd like the idea of monitoring an area from a distance. I'm tired of checking my cam, getting a pic of a good buck and never see him again. I do my best to cover my scent but it is what it is.

I've seen the plotwatcher cam but I'd rather not spend over $200. I know there are many cheaper cams with the time lapse option but most reviews don't seem to cover this feature. So, if you can share any experience with the feature and the make and model, it would be appreciated. Thanks

Most of the your current game cameras have a time lapse feature included on them. I know most Moultries, Primos, and Brownings all do. You can get a camera from all of these for well under $200 that have this feature as well as the standard game cam features

I haven't used one, but swampfever posted a link to natchez shooter supply where they had the primos version of the plot watcher on sell for $30 each. Reviews look like it would be reasonable at that price to purchase several. Only problem is they don't ship to Alabama, Tennessee, or Georgia, so you will have to get someone in Florida or Mississippi to order them for you. I'm planning on ordering 10 of them in the next week.

I've got 2 of the Primos DPS cameras and I absolutely love them. I made and posted a video of an area I recorded with one ... I'll find it and repost it here in a minute

I don't want to pass quietly into the night. I want to slide in sideways kickin and screamin

As you can see, its quite easy to discern the paths taken by deer. That has helped me tremendously in scouting this particular area because I knew where to go to look for tracks and I was able to back track up the mountain and find a great pinch point on one of their trails

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. That is exactly what I'm trying to do - scout from a distance. I'll be looking in to the Primos cam.

As mention most if the cameras do this. I know Moultries will do this during the day and then switch over to trail camera at night if you select that feature.

Approximately 20 days set at 10 seconds with no mid-day timeouts, that is with 14 hours of daylight that like we have now.

natchez shooters supply has them for $30 if you buy at least 2, but they don't ship to Alabama. Not sure where Rocket got his.

I got mine from Dick's SG online back in January. For some reason they were clearing their inventory of the DPS

There was a thread about this and a bunch of us bought some ...
