Anybody consider Simms may be ahead because he's been in the system for 5 years and Coker's been in it for 3 weeks? He should be MILES ahead as far as knowing the scheme, checks, protections, etc., and that's mostly all we're talking about here. I don't think anyone believes Simms is going to be a better option once Jake gets all the nuances figured out. Only question is can he do that before Thursday week. My guess is, no. They will both play in the first game or 3. If he hasn't separated himself before Sep 20th when UF comes to town I may change my tune, but that would be a long shot IMO. These scrimmages are scripted to expose certain areas that a player or a unit need to improve in. In other words Kiffen ain't out there calling plays Coker has down pat, he's putting him in uncomfortable positions intentionally. So, you can speculate off stats from a situational scrimmage if you want, it means nothing.
