I've got one that I wouldn't take anything for. It was my first rifle. Daddy bought it for me new in 1980. I still hunt with it today set up exactly as it was the Christmas morning he gave it to me It is a flat out deer thumper. I personally am fond of using the Speer 180 grain soft nose flat point bullets in it. But a 200 grain round nose hurts 'em too. Whoever buys this is getting a flat out Alabama deer killing machine. ![[Linked Image]](http://i715.photobucket.com/albums/ww152/bsromine/A5EDFC54-AE53-43FB-8875-EED7C1A70338.jpg)

I need to get one in 45/70
And yes, somebody needs to buy this gun before I break down and make an offer.
I can't say enough how fond I am of the .35 Remington in a lever gun.

Let's stop beating around the bush here....What model is it, what's the condition.... and what do you want for it?
Is it the rifle with the 1/2 magazine tube, the carbine with full length tube, or the 18" model?
FYI - A quick glance at Armslist will tell you what others are asking for theirs. Send me a PM if you don't want to post a cash price on it since you are looking at possible trades.

If it was .35 whelen I'd buy it. I got a 1975 anniversary edition .35 whelen that is awesome. My dad passed it down to me

I really doubt you will ever find a marlin 336 chambered for a 35 Whelen. The 336 marlin is not designed to handle a cartridge of that length. Not to mention that a standard 35 Whelen load is rated at 52,000 C.U.P and the 336 action is only designed to handle around 35,000 cup.
