I have over 100 sawtooths and maybe 5% have acorns this year. I think we had some late frost. Almost no crabapples or pears this year either.

It's sounding more like green fields are the place to be this bow season. Unless you find an oak or 2 that is dropping which should concentrate the deer. I just haven't found any such trees to this point. When I started this thread I was hoping to find that for some reason I just couldn't see them in the tree canopies. Oh well

saw a few white oak acorns on the ground yesterday while checking cameras. I would guess we will have a bumper crop in Jackson Co. Last two years have been limited. Have you cut any open, to make sure there good?

They only produce every other year correct?

They only produce every other year correct? Red oak family takes two growing seasons to produce acorns. White oak family takes one growing season.
83% of all statistics are made up.

We've been seeing white and red oaks loaded and some that had none.

Have you cut any open, to make sure there good? no, but they were green so I'm guessing they are good. Guessing some strong win blew them down.

Yea, i figured that, but sometimes when acorns drop and you cut them ope, they will be rotten, or hollow, with no meat.
