Also what the heck gives on $100 hunts. $200 for me and my son to hunt is out of my league. I guess the days of $25-40 to hunt are gone. Basscat, the state puts on hunts for youth you just have to sign up your son. There is a limited number of shooters and they fill up pretty quick. As long as he's under 16, he can hunt and so can you! My son and I had a blast for several opening days at the one in Elmore county at Draper prison. Check out the Alabama Conservation website for dates and locations. Dr. B Yea, we have been on several of them but the only ones that were any good were at Draper Prison and by the time I checked it out they were full. While out there I noticed the old farmer disking the road on his tractor in the distance. 2 hours later game wardens all over the hunt turns out the old timer was putting out cracked corn and no one knew what he was doing.
