Alright. Who is building them nowadays for the best VALUE? In other words, who gives you the most boat for the money you spend? Ranger? Triton?
It'd be nice to have a new one to tow behind the new truck.....

Resale value? Ranger Safety? Ranger
I just sold mine a few months back and wish I hadn't. Rangers are expensive, but I'd buy another one.

I saw a few rangers at the boat show that were pretty inexpensive.for the most part they are outrageous on their prices but you can find deals on them.everyone I ever knew that had one loved it & said ti was worth what they paid.I've also heard good things about procraft & you can get one of those for half what a ranger costs...if it were me, Id go aluminum.I never thought you could get a good ride out of an aluminum hull until I got to ride in a new xpress.plus they can take the little bumps of logs & piers a little better than the glass
Go with the flow and you will end up down the drain!

I bought a new boat last June. After shopping around for 3 months I found the best buy to be a BassCat Saber with a 150 xr6. I run it twice a week and love it. I have fished out of a Skeeter and a Ranger for 10 years and both are great boats however I don't believe either one is any better that the BassCat. I would rank them all about the same. One may have a few different features than the other, its all in what you like and how much money you want to spend. I do think Ranger has a better resale than the others. I did not want to buy a boat with any thing but a Mercury on it. I had a Yamaha before and it was nothing but trouble. The parts are very expensive and all the mecanics I talked to said they cost more to work on, expecially the 0x66 fuel injected. If you buy a yamaha be sure to get the carborated or at least that was what I was told to buy. The same mecanics said you cant go wrong with a xr6 Mercury.
