That evening with Bamabart was a moment in time out in the woods that I think I will remember even when I am old with Alzheimers.That growl echoed through the woods and you could hear the timber breaking like it was right next to you.Bart was a good 175 yards from me through the woods.Whatever that was was BIG and damn serious about wanting him out of the woods.I have known Bart for 23 years and that was the only time I have seen him wide eyed and white as a sheet.It's like the cougar and bear stories that you hear.No one has to believe you or confirm it for it to have really happened.Them perry county swamps are interesting to say the least.
