Pretty slim on dove hunts this year for some reason. Also what the heck gives on $100 hunts. $200 for me and my son to hunt is out of my league. I guess the days of $25-40 to hunt are gone.

Some of the WMA's have 'em for my favorite fee....nothing.

Basscat, the state puts on hunts for youth you just have to sign up your son. There is a limited number of shooters and they fill up pretty quick. As long as he's under 16, he can hunt and so can you! My son and I had a blast for several opening days at the one in Elmore county at Draper prison. Check out the Alabama Conservation website for dates and locations.

I've been to the one at Draper a few times before.

Yea, we have been on several of them but the only ones that were any good were at Draper Prison and by the time I checked it out they were full. Now he has decided not to go at all so I guess I am looking for a place for just me.

Have any luck? Im looking for one as well. I went on one last week $50 there were a few birds. While out there I noticed the old farmer disking the road on his tractor in the distance. 2 hours later game wardens all over the hunt turns out the old timer was putting out cracked corn and no one knew what he was doing.
