When you have issues with the material posted here, you can click on the posters name and then block that user? Eventually you will not have to see any of it.

Brent I'm not for the language either. As far as that goes it would be good to clean that up also. You can somewhat stay away from posts that you feel like may have stuff like that. But you can't avoid whats going to be on avatars or know who might have posted.

As I said this was not a post to discuses right and wrong so I'm not going to get involved in the ignorance some have went to in this post. I would like to say that the scripture Trutalker posted and commented on was in ignorance and he clearly has no idea what was being said. That scripture in no way promoted rape nor was that what it was talking about. They were able to take the women that hadn't known men as wives not to rape them. There are other sriptures that told of what they were supposed to do if they took captives to wife. God had already had laws against rape and never allowed or promoted something as wicked as that.

Ghost ribbit, I respect your request. It took guts. When the bible says "don't let there be a hint of immorality among you", we(ME) sometimes forget to use God's word as the measuring stick. I know there are varying beliefs on this site, however, I can appreciate the OP's request. I know not everyone carries the same religious views, but I think if everyone would ask themselves one question before posting then fewer questionable things would be posted. The question is:
Would I want my 8 year old reading and looking at this site as much as I do?

I haven't seen anything in an avatar or posted photo here that you can't see at a pool or the beach. Sometimes you can see it at a store. What are you going to do next write a letter to the Governor asking him to ban bikinis in Alabama? If seeing a woman in a bikini is destroying the moral fabric of you and your kids lives then your only hope is probably to move into some type of religious compound in Montana or somewhere.

Don't mean to sound ugly but if cleansing the world to the point that even bikinis are forbidden is the only way you can make it suitable for your kids to roam in it then a religious commune is going to be your best shot.

Most of the kids I knew growing up that lived a sheltered life, where mommy and daddy was uptight and suppppper strict. The kids grew up with either no common sense or went buck wild when giving the first opportunity. But as for me I stll haven't growed up and I hope I never will.

Exactly my observations as well. Especially at college. The really sheltered kids did not fare well.

I'm with you. Been here a long time too and I have never read those rules until just now when Swampy mentioned where they were.

There is a lot of stuff mentioned in the rules posted below that many members have at one time or the other been in violation of.

The very fact that this thread has gone for three pages now with people taking shots at Ghost Rabbit says a lot at least to me about where this site has been and the direction it has taken.

If I am not mistaken, when avatars were first allowed it was broadcast that the posters needed to be aware of content for the very reason that has been discussed in this thread. That is why there were only a select few offered once it first began. Maybe avatars need to go altogether. What is the point of having one as it relates to this site?

Dont bash a guy because of his beliefs.I am as guilty as the next guy about looking, but when I am having to be careful of when my daughter wants to see what is going on with AlDeer as she has for much of her 12 yrs from time to time, yeah I would say it has become an issue. Now that I know how to correct it I will.

I guess this post refers to mine and Brent's avatars. I never knew showing a 1/3 of a butt check could be a stumbling block for folks. I don't think of either avatars as vulgar, sexually oriented, or pornographic. Its a mini skirt that is a little too short. So this little tidbit of an avatar has gotten red blooded american males wanting to turn in their man card because someone thinks its offensive? I find it offensive you guys have made a 3 page post over a stupid avatar.

I had my avatar deleted because it was offensive and it was only a pic of a woman's face.

It was much more offensive than 3toe's!

I don't mind Brent's or 3toe's avatars, but Rebelman's has GOT TO GO!
