Deer hunting, turkeys, women, and money will bring the dickhead out in a man pretty quickly. HA so true Brent, think I've been in fight's over all of the above Lol! X2 other than turkeys. I'm a loner when it comes to turkeys for the most part. Ain't jealous about no damn animal other than someone shooting over the limit and it hurting the population, or doing something unsafe. That's the only 2 concerns I have.
This is Aldeer! The place people come to vent their frustrations and completely change their stance a few minutes later...

My absolute favorite favorite form of hunting jealousy is when a kid kills a small buck and are as proud as they can be, then a grown man starts throwing off on the kid about it. They say they are kidding but they are jealous. I can't stand that.

They say they are kidding but they are jealous. X a bunch! A grown man that belittles a kids deer is a jackass. A guy did that to my son once when he shot a small buck. The guy had about a 120" 8 pt in his truck at the processor. Told my son if he'd a let it go it might have been a bigun in a couple years. My son was about 10 at the time, and shot back "if you'd let that one go he mighta been a 150"er in a couple years"! All the guys at the processors place had a big belly laugh over that one.

It's like anything in life - many people feel like success is a limited commodity and since they are unwilling to do the work, then they are robbed by those that put in the effort. Work, sports, hobbies - most people believe that certain people are just lucky. More often than not - hard work and a positive attitude leads to success.

many years ago I hunted with a guy that would get all wound up over anyone within 20 miles of his place killing a good buck. He told me once that those bucks COULD of traveled to his place if they hadn't killed them. I blew it off for years till.....
I found a good 8 point on his place, patterned him pretty quick.I told him how and when to kill that deer, told him he was a five year old, 135" deer. He hunted him once, opp of how I told him to kill him and quit hunting there. He said he didn't think the deer was big as I said it was. Two weeks later I caught the wind right, slipped in and killed him. Five year old. 134" eight. 200 pounds. Better than any deer buddy had ever killed.
This friend was an excellent photographer, so I asked him to take some pics for me. He basically told me to eff off...he was pissed that I killed that deer. I quit deer hunting with him after that.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I have one of the greatest buddies teaching me about deer hunting. Other than telling me I could tell the size and sex of a deer by putting one of it's pellets in my mouth he has passed along a ton of good information and been very patient with me. It's been a real blessing meeting him and his family they have gotten me back into hunting after a very long break from it. and no I didn't fall for the poo thing.

I dont understand it either... When I moved to Montgomery from Idaho I was really excited. I was back in god's country first and foremost but secondly I had a family friend that I had hunted with since I started huntin. I even shot my first deer there. Well It was december of that first year being back. I was huntin at stand that I put out that I scouted and a place that this guy couldn't even hunt. Me and my brother went in and hunted. At 0900 the biggest deer of my life walked out and I smoked him with my 22-250. I took the buck up to the land owner and he was all excited for me and glad I got that buck. I sent the pic out to all my friends (including the guy that got mad) A few days later I was walking into Bass pro with my family and my phone rang. It was the guy. I answer and he said somethings and I though he was just giving me shucks and I was laughing. Well he was serious. He started making some threats and I asked if he was mad at me. He said yes and that he had a bullet with my name on it. I tend to lose my temper and I flew off and said somethings to him. But, my wife got the phone and calmed me down. I was ready to go find him and see what was what. But, that ended me hunting there. A place that this guys doesn't own he is just a family member of the land owner. Its shitty that this guy was mad because I killed a bigger buck than he had ever even seen and threatened to shoot me over. Never will I understand that.

its funny to me how folks act when somebody kills a decent buck. I have found that most of the time when people get a little attitude, they are the ones that ALWAYS find an excuse to not go hunting. had too much to do around the house, HAD to watch the ball game, went shopping with the ole lady, its too cold, needed to wash my truck, had to cut the grass, the wife wanted to go to dinner, got drunk last night, the wind wasn't right , blah blah blah blah blah. I get cussed at for just being plain lucky. whatever, I will take luck every day but you cant kill them sitting on the couch.
