I found this, not sure if it's still accurate. It says $250 for hunting over bait. Pretty sure if you actually killed one over bait, you'd pay more.

I cant tell you the actual fine but it is relatively inexpensive but the screw you on court costs.

I saw where a guy was given a $5,775 fine and given 36 months' probation for having a pay hunt dove shoot in a baited field.

I thought a deer baiting fine was around $470 a few years ago.
A friend of mine had a camera on the side of a food plot in September on his lease and then took it down, the corn appeared to be all gone. In late December a game warden walked in, made small talk asking about deer pictures, etc. My friend told him he had a camera out, showed him where it was and didn't think anything about it. The game warden got on his hands and knees and dug around in the dirt for ten or so minutes and found a single semi rotten kernel that looked more like a small black rock and wrote him a $470 ticket.

He doesn't deserve a rifle stock on the back of the head, but this is why people dislike most game wardens. Common sense would tell you, the guy was doing his best to follow the law, but they'll write him the same ticket as some sorry SOB, that doesn't even try to follow the law. We were rabbit hunting at FT. Mcclellan back in the early 80's. The guy that had the dog, reminded us before we got on the fort to make sure we didn't have any illegal ammo on us. We had killed a couple of rabbits, when the game warden drove up. We could see him coming for a mile. He checked the guy with the dog, and found an old green paper hulled shell, that had gotten stuck in a hole in his jacket. Wrote him a ticket for: Illegal ammo, deer hunting out of season, and deer hunting without a permit. What an arrogant prick. We could see the ticket for illegal ammo, but with 2 dead rabbits, deer hunting out of season? How do you get a permit, when the season is closed? We even told the GW, we saw you coming 10 minutes before you got here. I would have scared to have shot that shell.

It does suck that the guy hunting over a mountain of corn gets the same ticket as the guy who overlooked or didn't see a few kernels in his area.

A buddy of mine got a ticket " hunting in a baited area" and his fine was only $25. He was hunting on or close to property line and corn was on the adjacent property and put out by the other property owner.

That's the biggest bunch of BS I've ever heard.
