Much of this discussion so far has really been about the various worldviews we all hold. Same set of facts and circumstances, yet different views. Views are different because we come to our belief systems based on presuppositions that we hold as true.

If any of us are actually holding a Biblical Worldview, then we are presupposing that God is the Creator, God is real, God sets the standard for our lives, and that His word is pure and without error. We will understand that the Word of God is our "go to" resource for knowledge, wisdom and understanding. We will understand that Christ is our Savior, mediator, and first love. We will understand that the Holy Spirit is our helper and convicts us. We will grow in our understanding of God's nature.

With that background, go to Genesis.

God created a perfect world because he said it was good. When created the world was without sin and there was no curse. Because of the willful disobedience of Eve and Adam, sin entered the world. It was from this moment on that sin, chaos, disease, perversions, distortions, mutations, etc... entered the world and intersected human history as well as intersecting all of creation (living and non-living).

Later in Genesis God more fully explains the relationship of his design. Man + Woman= Family. A man shall cleave to his wife and the two shall become one flesh. This is God's design as fully and completely illustrated in His Word.

If we understand these truths, then we know that as men and women created in God's image that being homosexual or gay is not how were were designed and made originally. So what happened then? Sin. Sin entered the world and perverted and twisted what God had made perfect. God allowed this to happen to fulfill His Purposes...Christ. Genesis points to Christ, as does the entirety of Scripture.

For some, acting out in homosexual sex or lifestyles is a choice they make. But for some, who from their earliest memories have always "felt different" or have always "been drawn to the same sex", being gay seems to be just who they have always been. And from their perspective that is probably correct. But from the beginning, this is not how it was. Only through the curse of sin is this an issue. It was an issue before Noah, it was an issue after Noah, it was an issue in Christ's time, and it is an issue today.

We live in a fallen world. Sin abounds in a fallen world. For every one of us in various ways. Being gay and being homosexual are the result of sin, pure and simple...if you truly believe in a Biblical Worldview. So is being unfaithful/adultery. so is pedophilia. So is all kinds of sexual immorality. so is drunkenness, greed, lying, deception, malice, murder, strife, etc... Sin is the root of all of these things, because these things are not from God for they are 180 degrees opposite of His Nature.

The Old Testament writings affirm this.
Christ upholds the Old Testament and specifically addresses the man/woman relationship and Biblical cleaving.
Paul and the other New Testament writers uphold both the Old Testament and the teaching of Christ and the Law of Christ.

If we truly have a Biblical worldview that we will affirm this as true too.

It is very easy to get off track and start judging the heart condition of others...blindly ignoring our own sin issues in the process. We are called, as Christians, to do certain things. We are called to Love others as Christ loves us--this is the Law of Christ. We are called to be salt and light to the world around us (salt seasons and also preserves, light exposes darkness and reveals truth). We are called to go out and share Christ for God's glory and kingdom purposes. We are called to keep ourselves unblemished from the world. We are called to Stand Firm in the Gospel message. We are called to serve others. We are called to go to brothers who have strayed and bring them back to Christ. We are called to teach our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. WE ARE CALLED TO BE HOLY/SET APART. And others that I've missed.

Homosexuality is a sin, and so is the agenda driven movement to promote it. But we are called to love the sinner, as Christ loves all of us...who are but sinners too.

"The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever." Isaiah 40:8

"Neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt. Samuel Adams

I am coming into this very late in the game.I read the judge not lest ye be judged statements earlier on here. The Bible lays out very clear guidelines for some things and some it doesn't but Homosexuality is one that it is very clear on.God calls it an abomination. You don't have to stand in judgement on that issue.Judgement has already been passed on it.When you choose that lifestyle you bring judgement on yourself.

Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life;of whom shall I be afraid?

I agree that homosexuality is a sin but we all sin. Some sin is just more socially acceptable than others.

Perhaps the greatest sin of all is thinking that you are OK before before God based on your good behavior and church attendance.

Now, I'm all about getting free from sin and homosexuals need to be free from sin, but so do all of us.

Even though all sin makes a man worthy of hell in God's eyes, some sin can destroy a man's physical life quicker than others. Homosexuality is certainly a fast path to destruction.

Funny how catching "The Ghey" makes your hands grow differently. The finger length is based on the balance of male/female hormones. It also coincides with gay and not gay in both men and women.

I personally think the government should not be in the marriage business. There should be no such thing as marriage license issued by the state. If you want to draw up a legal document that binds you and another individual together in what ever manner you see fit then bu all means have at it. Marriage should be between you and your church and god. It does not have to be sanctioned by the State of Alabama. Who grown adults have sex with is none of my business that is between them and god.

If you're gonna be stupid you better be tough.

I got some questions for the one's that feel like gays were not born that way. At what age did you decide, that even though your attracted to men, God said that wrong so its only gonna be women for you, from here on out. How many times is your conviction tested each day. I mean when you go to the beach with your family. And you see all those guys running around without theire shirts, do you have to tell yourself " Be strong, Be strong, its an abomination". Have you ever got drunk and made a bad decision. I aint picking I'm just trying to figure out why yawl feel that way. I understand that everything ultimately come down to a decision.
