I tried but my movement sent them off. Dang yotes are in a thicket about 150 yes from me. Heard them before daylight and twice afterward howling/ barking. Don't know if it's a den or they have killed something. Met a guy yesterday who had shot and lost a doe so I'm wondering if they found it. Same area he was in.

Alright boys I'm pretty tore up. Been bow hunting since 1996 (I'm 43 years old) and I just shot my first buck. I made a bad shot, little back definitely liver. I've had my eyes on him the entire time. He just laid down and looks like he's done. I'm going to sit here a while and make sure. Best part is my dad and nephew are here hunting with me so I get to share it with them.

Atta boy Sulli!!! They'll normally bed down within a 100 yards on a straight liver hit. Give him at least an hour. Post up some pics as soon as you can.

Not a monster by any means but got the no buck monkey off my back and as my first bow kill buck he's a trophy to me and I will never forget this morning. My dad and nephew are texting me all pumped for me as well. TEAM DOUBLE LUNG
