No word out of Hopper yet? Hope he found her. Chancetribe, congrats on your first. And congrats to everyone else that got one today. My battery was about dead on my phone, so I was unable to post anything else after I shot her. I was in some thinned pines in a new spot Emmett and I fixed up. I was 60 yards off of a food plot. That's as close as we could hang a loc-on, so this was mainly going to be a gun stand. Started seeing a lot of sign around the loc-on where they had been eating honeysuckle. Plus I had what I thought was going to be a good wind. I figured the deer would be coming from the north or northeast in the evenings. The first deer I saw followed the script and came out into the plot from the northeast. She fed for 15 minutes and passed by me out of range. Shortly before 6 I caught movement about 60 yards to my southwest. It was a whole doe train coming. Crap, I'm going to get winded. Sure enough at 25 yards the caboose on the doe train blows and runs then stops. I ranged her at 32, set my dial on my HHA to 30 yards and aimed at the heart. The arrow hit home a deer went every where. I heard her crash and give me the death cough. This is what an arrow is supposed to look like: I remembered to include myself in the pic this time for the contest. I look like a stoned crackhead because I'm trying to explain to Emmett, who is 70 years old, how to take a pic with a smart phone. Im really impressed with what the NAP Killzone did to her:

Just saw your reply Hopper. Sorry you lost her. It happens bowhunting, even when you do all of the right things. I learned to bowhunt all on my own as well. If there's a mistake to be made bowhunting, I've probably done it. Just remember them and learn from them. Bowhunting is a game of patience. You have to learn to slow down and think things through before you do them. Do it enough, it will be second nature. Don't get discouraged, I lost the first one I ever shot at as well. I went out the next morning and killed my first. That was almost 20 years ago. I've lost count of how many I've taken, but it has to be close to 100 by now.

Well fellas I couldn't find the doe I shot. This is the first time that's happened to me with gun or bow, pretty gutted right now, shot was a little high and not a pass through but still thought we'd find her. Wanna thank Hoss606 for inviting me to hunt public land for the first time, and try to find the doe. Not one drop of blood anywhere. Congrats to everyone would gotcha one today!

Nothing wrong with that Muzzy. They will all do the job if put where they need to be. Being a fixed head, have you practiced with them?

Hopper it don't matter on the broad head its all shot placement. Don't get me wrong some do better than others but any will do the job if the shot placement is right. Keep your head up.

Muzzy have killed a ton of deer. If someone is telling you that at the club that they do not know what they are talking about.
Do you want to hear him gobble, or do you want to kill him.
