Back in the same spot I was in this morning and passed up the 2 small bucks. Hoping a doe or decent buck comes out this evening.

Happened to find a cluster of persimmon trees that are loaded and was just curious if they are good to hunt over Is there any sign around them and are they dropping? Deer love persimmons.

Just shot a doe .... she hit the ground after a loud thwack noise...she got up ran into the woods by greenfield she was gurgling and about every 5 minutes I hear her trying to get up. I see my arrow laying where I shot her at is that good or bad . I am still sitting in tree. I am shaking like a dog shitting peach seeds, possibly could be my first deer with bow
Let them walk ...and grow them big

I have enjoyed reading all the post last few day. I finally got to go this afternoon Sitting I hardwood bottom and it is raining acorns and I have 5 tree rats 3 turkey's and a woodpecker If I hear a deer he would have grunt load with all this noise. But still great to be out.

Congrats Hopper I'd wait an hour and ease down and check the arrow out. Was she broadside or quartered? Is the arrow stuck in the ground or just laying there? Is the arrow broken? Sounds like you hit her shoulder. If so, that gurgling sound is her drowning in her own blood.
